Photography workshop M1: salar of Uyuni

Discovering these vast desert spaces located in the heart of the Bolivian altiplano, at an altitude of over 4,000 meters, is an exceptional experience. The Salar de Uyuni, dry for much of the year, impresses with the immensity and beauty of these pristine white expanses. The Isla de los Pescadores, a rocky outcrop planted in the heart of the salt flat, is covered with giant cacti that rise skyward, sometimes reaching over 10 meters in height. Further south, the Laguna Colorada, whose red color is due to the presence of sediment and certain types of algae that reflect the sun's rays, is populated by a multitude of pink flamingos that blend perfectly into this magnificent landscape. Finally, the Laguna Verde, a deep green, due to the presence of numerous minerals, such as magnesium, copper or arsenic, is surrounded by several of the region's volcanoes, in a majestic setting. We will consider, depending on the group's wishes, the ascent of one of them, either that of the Tunupa volcano which borders the salar, or that of the Licancabur volcano, a little more technical. The landscape at the summit is unforgettable.
